Stranger Things, a Netflix original series, took the world by storm when it was released in 2016. A Sci-Fi horror, the story takes place in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana during the 1980s, where the government is examining paranormal activity – including human experimentation. When one of these experiments goes wrong, they inadvertently open a doorway to an alternate world known as the ‘Upside Down,’ allowing a dangerous creature to enter our realm. When young Will Byers mysteriously disappears, his friends decide to investigate, which introduces them to a girl known as Eleven who just so happens to be able to flip cars with her mind. The events that follow this meeting shake the very foundations of the sleepy town of Hawkins. Welcome to the Upside Down.
