The 1941 cinematic classic Dumbo is one of the most beloved and iconic animated Disney movies. The film was created to help Disney recoup the financial losses made by Fantasia, making it intentionally simple and economic with a running time of just 64 minutes. The heart-warming story focuses on baby elephant Jumbo, Jr., nicknamed Dumbo. Born with giant ears, Dumbo finds comfort in his friend Timothy Q. Mouse who gives Dumbo belief in himself and guides him to achieving the seemingly impossible: flight. The story of the incredible elephant that could fly is one of inspiration that teaches us to celebrate our differences and that if we believe in ourselves, anything is possible.

The powerful message and lovable characters endeared Dumbo to audiences. In 2017, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." In 2019, visionary director Tim Burton created a new live-action adventure version of Dumbo which expanded on the beloved classic story.
