Voted onto the American Film Institute’s “Top 10 Science Fiction Films of All Time” list, the smash hit Back to the Future follows Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown (Christopher Lloyd) as they experiment with time travel. After arriving in 1955, Marty accidentally prevents his parents from meeting and has to find a way intervene so as to not erase himself from existence, and also find a way to transport himself back to the present-day after the DeLorean time machine runs out of its plutonium fuel. Launched in 1985, Back to the Future received numerous award nominations and inspired two sequels, several video games, an animated series, and a ride at Universal Studios.
