Set in the small town of Derry, the film centres around Bill Denbrough and his friends as they seek to uncover the mystery around the disappearance of Bill’s younger brother, Georgie, the year before. Their investigation leads them to discover a malevolent entity which preys upon children by using a variety of powers, including shapeshifting, to appear as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Bill and his friends find themselves locked in conflict with this creature as they seek to end his reign of terror. With Pennywise the Dancing Clown being instantly recognisable, It has become an extremely popular franchise in the horror genre, stirring up fears of the creepy and supernatural.
